Abstract:   (28 Views)
Objective: This study aims to investigate the effect of mental and social health on patients' optimism.
Methods: This is a systematic review study. The relevant studies published from 2010 to 2024 were searched in Scopus, PubMed, and national databases, including ISC. Studies published in Persian or English, with full texts available, were included in the study.
Results: The initial search yielded 261 records. After removing duplicates and screening titles, abstracts, and full texts, 22 studies were included in the review. According to the results, a significant positive association was found between mental and social health domains and patients' optimism. In particular, communication skills, problem-solving, and social support were more strongly associated with optimism.
Conclusion: Mental and social health can help boost patients’ optimism. These findings emphasize the use of psychological interventions for enhancing patients' mental and social health.
