Authors instructions
The submitted manuscripts receive a number after submission, which will be used throughout the reviewing process until publication.
The editorial office evaluates the manuscripts for compliance with the code of ethics in research, including the clinical trial registry number. Then, the manuscript is assessed by plagiarism detection software to ensure it contains original content. This administrative process can take up to ten days. In case of any problems or discrepancies, the author will be contacted and given up to five days to correct them. If there is no response from the corresponding author, the manuscript is withdrawn. Double-blind review The editorial office will try to protect the authors from discrimination by anonymizing their identities during the double-blind review process. Do not mention the name of your institute, university, or people who have worked with you in the text. It is the author's responsibility to ensure that their identity is not revealed Peer review process Afterward, the manuscripts are evaluated by an editorial board committee of at least two members. They will decide if the manuscript corresponds with the journal. This stage will take one week. If the manuscript is not approved, the author will be notified of the reason for rejection. If approved, the manuscript will be sent to the reviewers (at least three specialized reviewers and one statistician in case of need). The reviewers have up to 4 weeks to send their comments. Their comments are evaluated by the editor and sent to the author. This process usually takes up to five weeks. The authors can contact the journal six weeks after the manuscript is sent to the reviewers for follow-up. After the reviewers' comments are sent to the authors, they have ten days to respond and make the required revisions. Should the authors need more time, they must email the journal. If there is no response within this time limit, the journal will send a reminder for another three days for revisions. After this, the journal will reject the manuscript without a response. After the revised manuscript is submitted to the journal, it will be sent to the final reviewer appointed by the editor. This step takes two weeks. If more revisions are needed, the revised manuscript is returned to the author for further revisions. Again, the author will have ten days to modify the text. If the editor and the editorial board accept the newly revised manuscript, the article will be prepared for publication. They should also be prepared to submit all the relevant documents, including the raw data, samples, records, etc., to confirm the validity of the results in case of need. If data availability is not possible due to the requirements of your workplace or institution or is inappropriate for submission, you will have to state the reason during the submission process, such as saying that the research data are confidential for a reason. Preparing the preprint proofread may take four weeks. Then, it is sent to the author for approval. The authors have five days to review the file, make the necessary changes, and resend it to the journal. The journal does its best to publish the accepted manuscripts as soon and accurately as possible. Please review the typesetting and editing of the text, tables, and figures at this stage. Substantial changes to an accepted manuscript can only be made at this stage with the editorial office’s permission. All changes are accepted only in this preprint file, and any subsequent modifications will not be possible. The whole process, from the initial submission to publication, can take up to 12 weeks. You will be notified within six weeks if your manuscript is found unsuitable for the journal during the review process. In each stage, if the editor considers any discrepancies with the manuscript content, s/he can reject the manuscript. |
