en Protocol of an Information-motivation-behavioral Skills Counseling Trial on Sexual Function and Anxiety in HPV-infected Women مامایی Midwifery پروتکل مطالعه Study protocol <div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Background and Objective</strong>: Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is a common sexually transmitted disease. In addition to physical complications, it also has profound psychological effects, including anxiety and sexual dysfunction in women. The information–motivation–behavioral skills (IMB) model has been introduced as an effective approach for modifying health-related behaviors.<br> <strong>Materials & Methods</strong>: This randomized controlled single-blind clinical trial will be conducted on 44 women aged 20–50 years experiencing HPV infection, who will be randomly allocated into two equal control and intervention groups (n=22 each). Randomization will be performed using a computer-generated random allocation sequence with allocation concealment through sealed opaque envelopes. The intervention group will receive six online group counseling sessions using the IMB model, while the controls will receive routine care and standard education during the study period. The female sexual function index (FSFI) and the Spielberger State–Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) will be use for data collection. Data will be analyzed using SPSS software, version 26 and appropriate statistical tests.<br> <strong>Conclusion</strong>: The present trial focuses on the impact of IMB-oriented counseling on reducing anxiety and improving sexual function in women with HPV infection in Iran.
