	<title>Comparing Triamcinolone Oral Paste With Prunus divaricata in Treating Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis: An Ethnographic and Self-case Report Research</title>

	<abstract>&lt;span style=&quot;font-family:Tahoma;&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Background and Objective&lt;/strong&gt;: Recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS) is the most common oral ulcer; however, stress can be associated with its prevalence caused by increased salivary cortisol levels or changes in immune regulatory activities. Various drugs have been suggested for RAS treatment. This case study aimed to compare the effect of topical triamcinolone oral paste with a natural product.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Case Presentation: &lt;/strong&gt;A 38-year-old female patient with RAS since adolescence participated in this study. Despite 4 times treatments with topical triamcinolone paste, her RAS was not improved, and she developed apparent stress. After intermittent use of some Prunus divaricata (local name Heli Potka), prepared from the processing of local plums in Mazandaran Province, one of the northern provinces of Iran, a rapid treatment in the pain and size of oral ulcers occurred.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Conclusion&lt;/strong&gt;: Short-term use of Prunus divaricata can effectively relieve pain and burn and reduce the size of aphthous stomatitis.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;
